Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are the only dessert my husband asks for (he’s not big on sweets). You can imagine I have made these a few times in the years we have been together, and here is the recipe I have perfected. The insides turn out so soft and chewy, you’ll need a tall glass of milk with these babies:
1 1/4 C turbinado sugar
((OR 3/4 white sugar and 1/2 brown sugar))
1/2 C butter (I replace half of this with ripe avocado)
1 C peanut butter
1 egg
4-5 Tbl milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 C chocolate chips
1 1/4 Call-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
Bake at 350 for 8-10 min. Do not overbake.
These do look good. I make mine without butter or milk. They are so delicious and light. My husband can’t seem to get enough of them. If you try my recipe let me know what you think I forgo the Nutella most of the time but they are perfect. http://mythineats.com/2012/12/21/gluten-free-crunchy-peanut-butter-nutella-cookies/
Oh yum!!!!
I know what it’s like trying to appease picky eaters at home! I’m so glad to have stumbled upon an easy, yet downright decadent recipe to test out on my friends and family! Nothing quite tops a peanut butter and chocolate combination, so I’ve perfected my own peanut butter brownie recipe that you might be interested in!
