This past weekend I went with some friends to the North Dallas Taco Festival in Deep Elum, which included taco stands by area restaurants such as Urban Taco, Velvet Taco, Rusty Tacos, Revolver Taco Lounge and more. The weather here has been fickle and although there was still a slight chill in the air, I couldn’t wait any longer so I broke out these striped seersucker shorts that embody spring. Even if I had to pair them with a sweater because it’s not quite spring weather here yet.

One of the good things about moving back to Dallas is the Tex Mex, which no state does like Texas.  All of the tacos we tried at this festival were delicious, but I particularly loved Rusty Taco’s achiote marinated pork tacos topped with pineapple bits which added an unexpected sweetness.
