I’m only just a little obsessed with chocolate (and spicy cheetohs, but that’s another story).
And aren’t we all?
I know my fellow Mrs. are (remember our Super Sweet Blog award Q&A about our favorite sweets?)!
Well, a few weeks ago, some of my friends launched a new company called Treatsie (I tend to think Treastie Tuesday club member Amanda had something to do with them choosing that name!). Amanda’s husband and our other friend Jamie started Treatsie, a couture candy subscription service that is definitely the next big thing.
From their website: Treatsie is a couture candy of the month club that delivers individually sourced confections from all over the world to your mailbox for $15 a month. And if you think that seems like a lot or a weird service to subscribe to, think again.
I – along with MANY of my female friends and acquaintances – already subscribe to one or more of these beauty product subscriptions: Birchbox, Ipsy, New Beauty Test Tube, GoodeBox, GlossyBox, etc. And we all absolutely LOVE getting our little surprises in the mail. The automatic billing and shipping allows you to totally forget you splurged on a little goodie for yourself and be surprised by fun new stuff.
What makes Treatsie so awesome, I think, is the fact that we all love sampling truffles and gourmet chocolates from Trader Joe’s, Central Market and local chocolatiers, but don’t do so on a regular basis. We tend to just drive to Walgreens when we’re jonesing for chocolate and grab the closest Hersey’s bar to the door. (Or is that just me?) So this subscription will send delicious candies straight to your door and let you sample artisan and gourmet treats that will literally melt in your mouth!
I’m so excited to try a box out and to see how fast their budding business grows. With all the wine, jam and cheese of the month clubs out there, how could a CHOCOLATE / CANDY club not work!?

On a slightly different note, you mentioned belonging to some beauty subscriptions. I currently have a Birchbox subscription and I like it but I’m not necessarily in love with it so far. How do you think Birchbox compares to the other subscriptions you mentioned? Do you have a favorite?
I actually have a Birchbox v. New Beauty Test Tube review coming for the blog. Spoiler alert: I loved the feeling of waiting for and getting my birchbox suprise every month, but it was constantly disappointing me. I watched my girlfriends get better stuff in theirs than me and would tweak my “beauty profile” to try and get better stuff but didn’t really. I got granola bars one time and cheapo earbuds. I signed up for beauty products not electronics and groceries. lol. 🙂 Stay tuned in to the blog and I’ll post a FULL review of the two services this month sometime! XO
