Basil Bacon Dip

There is something about a man’s genetic make-up that makes him go crazy over bacon. My husband will argue that absolutely everything tastes better with it.  Lately I have been doing a lot of baking, and since my husband doesn’t like sweets (yep you read that correctly), I decided to make an appetizer that the guys were sure to love…I added bacon. I used uncured bacon; its made with natural ingredients, without added nitrites or nitrates, but tastes just the same as regular.

Ingredients:

1/2 C Basil (chopped)

1/2 Tomato (chopped)

4 Strips of Bacon (cooked and crumbled)

3 Heaping Tbl Chives (chopped)

3/4 C Sour Cream (I used low fat)

3 oz Cream Cheese

Mix all ingredients together and serve with chips, crackers, or veggies. This recipe was relatively small and disappeared quickly, so depending on how many people you want to feed, you may want to double.
